Thought I would start my own thread concerning TMC...most rescent threads contain questions, so maybe I can answer some as the process for me goes forward. Today, I called recruiter and filled out app. Before today, I did my research, so when I called recruiter today, I didn't have but a few questions and they were answered to my likeing. I live in TN and the website states 46/52 weekends at home,,,we shall see. It also states some new drivers earn $60,000 there first year,,,we shall see. I am currently driving for SNI and just need a change mostly but also I want some flatbed experience for when I own my own rig and stepdeck in the near future. I am 42, just about 43 and I know there are those that are thinking I am crazy for starting in flatbedding but I m not the typical driver...LOL Anyway, that is where I am today, more to follow as it developes. Thanks for startin the thread, I look forward to hearing how it works out for you. I probly wont be to far behind ya in the application process.
Looking forward to reading your updates! I am retiring from the Navy next year; my interests lie with TMC and Maverick. R/ Frat
I figured I would hear from them today but did not..... I have spent the whole day readin every post on the TMC thread. Seems, like all companies, TMC made some changes durring the tough times we have been having. I felt them over at SNI as well. I have also noticed that TMC has been bringing some stuff back, that they had taken away or were not allowing prior. Like the 1500w inverter, which I don't like the idea of them deciding which one I buy but oh well, give and take. Also the prepass/ezpass for a nominal fee of $2.50 a month.. I will update when I hear from them, or if I find anything new out. SheepDog
you shouldn't have a problem getting home to TN, I drove through the state, delivered and loaded out of there quite a bit with TMC. 50k is possible now that freight is moving again. I never made more than 40k there in each of 2 years I worked there, and believe me I worked. the economy was in pretty bad shape for most of that time however.
I am looking forward to how everything works out for you. I will be retiring from the Army and looking to work for them. I am from NC and see a lot of TMC trucks pass through Sanford and Fayetteville. Take care.
Well, I got tired of waiting for them to call me so, I called them and talked with a nice lacy named Laura.. She said I should hear from her tomorrow but sounded real positive. I will update tomorrow night... SheepDog
About TMC, I was with them all last year, truck number 91995 and I tell you what you will work. Dieselgypsy1 you should get home as long as you tell your FM you wanna be home on the weekend. I was home all but 1 weekend, but I also told my FM I wasn't going to sit at a truck stop all weekend. Slowmotion35 I live about 20 mins away from sanford, and like I said I was home everyweek end but I never droped off in Sanford, a few times in Fayettville though. Any questions I will do my best.
No not anymore, I have been driving for a company in Sanford for about a year but I am getting ready to go back OTR with Epes Transport out of Greensboro.
