How the heck do you watch tv in your truck? Not dvds, internet etc...but television? Do trucks come wired for tv antenna's or the digital boxes or whatever? Or do you just watch movies/play video games etc.

I know you're probably too tired after driving all day and all the other things you have to do...but this ? has been bugging me.

Thanks everyone! Appreciate you tolerating this silly question :biggrin_25523:

Some have antenna wired in, others get aftermarket and install, and try to get whatever they can locally.

Some people mount a dish on the outside of the truck and take it down when they drive.

I have Direct TV sat service. The dish is on a pole mounted to the rear of the sleeper. It take me about 3-5 mins to get up and viewing. I have had it since 1995 so i have a lot of experience setting it up.
Some better equipped trucks have a built antenna and a coax connector in one of the cabinets in the sleeper. Or you can get antennas that clip to your side windows. You just have to be close to a city to get signals. With the switch to digital signals, it takes a better antenna since the signal isn't as strong.

I have seen these guys have a pole sticking up off their passengers mirror and they just have a set screw and slide the dish on the pole and tighten the set screw and bingo Satellite!

Why would you want to watch TV when you can watch the freaks outside and murmur to yourself!!???!!!

After years of driving just sitting in the drivers seat is the most comfortable position.

    Standing feels awkward.:biggrin_25520:

But yeah I got a TV

    Plug it in the inverter.
Hook digital converter box in back.
    Scan for local channels.

Usually only watch if there is a big sports game on one of the major networks. Lord knows you can't get flying j to turn on the world series nowadays with that CSI drama crap.
