I need a swift mentor

    I will be starting oreintation on May 28 and I would like to find a nice and respectful trainer that wants to teach because i want to learn. If there is any decent mentors out there please help me out. Thank you

    I hate to say it, but good luck with that. I don't know that you can "choose" your mentor. I do know a couple that set it up, however they were going to team together. I think you just have to take your chances

    Hey sheriff thanks for your response. I think you might be right lol. We will see what happens. It is only 6 weeks I'm ready to get through it and learn so ill will just have to switch if I'm not learning or if he or she is not safe.

    I've gotten a lot of PM's from folks who end up changing mentors. Some have changed several times. Don't just decide to get off the truck someplace. Wait until you get to a terminal. DocWatson has a good thread that details his experience with several mentors.

    yep.. you get who swift gives you. only choice you have is gender and smoker or nonsmoker. when you meet your mentor, have a sitdown talk going over what your expectations are. most of the mentors will go over with you what the rules they have in their truck. if you are not getting the training you need, talk to mentor first then your dl. some personalities doesn't work sometimes lol. good luck and be safe.

    I've listen to a few,at Lancaster,there dirty,one minded....they talk about a bunch of crap,the student did this to my truck.or the student wanted to do this,ect....bunch of dirty o/o,setting around a table wining.... I hope what I have seen is miles away when the 30 th of may comes around,because I have not been inpreesed with what I have seen .
