As the title said, I took my final test today and passed, now that I'm done with school, I'm looking forward to my new career. I will be getting my CDL tomorrow, I tried today, but it was too late, I will also get my Tanker, Double/Tripple and if possible my Hazmat as well, but my Tanker and Double/Tripple are guaranteed. So question, I have three companies in mind, Cypress Truck, Abilene, and Werner. Now, my brother-in-law is an O/O and he said that Werner would give me the best training out there but at the cost of the pay, the best choice for me right now would be to sacrifice the pay for now and get the training, BUT!! Last time I called them, they said they only had team in my area, and you guys already know that I DO NOT like team lol!! Maybe that's change since then, it's been three months already, I'll give them a call tomorrow anyway, crazy how time flies!! So now, Abilene was looking good and @JohnBoy was kind enough to share his journey with us, until I saw that they have in-ward facing cameras, that's a yikes, which leave Cypress Truck. I'm calling all three companies tomorrow to get more information on them and make my decision based on that, but I wanted to know you guys' thought before hand, does Werner have the best training out there? Should I sacrifice pay for the training from them? ( Btw, when I call them tomorrow, if they still have only team available, I don't think I'm going with them, I just really, really like my space and team is not it LOL! ) My birthday was yesterday and I passed today, I'm so happy!!

They removed the inward facing camera 3 years ago. Only outward. And congratulations on passing your test. Choose wisely.

In this economy with jobs being thin, Don't be picky, Get 1yr or so then look to upgrade.
Get the Hazmat too it looks real good on your app.

Congrats on getting your CDL. Get the HazMat, get a year of accident-free CDL experience, and think about tanker. It's a bit more professional and less go, go, go than dry van and reefer. Most tankers are a lot easier to park than a 53 foot box.

Yeah, I hear you, if I don't get it tomorrow, I'll get it in my first home-time after training.
