I just can’t seem to find an answer. Is dpf only required to enter California? From my research this seems to be a yes, but do other states require it in older tractors? If yes, are there trucks that are exempt from these regulations?

I do not plan to enter California at all. Forget that state. My back can’t handle the Hwys.

I dont know the answer, but have you driven into Michigan? Literally as soon as you pass the state welcome sign, you are greeted with highway that feels like an old wooden rollercoaster. Did a pick up near the 9th mile in Detroit... That was an experience.

The dump trucks have wheels front to back. They kill the roads.

No other states require it, but the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey require it to run in the ports there.

    Oldironfan and LoneRanger Thank this.

Kids don't think your cool unless you can roll coal.

It’s not about rolling coal at all. I hate it in fact. The matter is overburdening a driver with unecessary maintanance and repairs and costly bs.

Agreed but what gets kids interested in trucking? Why will people get into trucking in the near future?
