Hello, I’m trying to figure out how to get my truck to recharge the epu, it’s a new 2022 Volvo vnl 860, it had idle smart, and an epu, the batteries got low this morning and everything started beeping, but the truck would not start in its own like I was told it’s supposed to, any help would be appreciated.
Wrong voltage setting in the truck ECM. A shop tech needs to look at it with a tech tool and set it higher than the battery rundown protection value. EX: Battery protection set at 11.5V. ECM value to start the truck 11.7V. These values are just for an illustrations, not the real numbers. Good luck.
Idle smart should be set to charge at 12.2 volts minimum. Your EPU batteries will last longer if you set to 12.5 though.
