My buddy is trying really hard to get me to go to F2f. As I posted a couple weeks ago. His claim is you can use any load board. As long as they get there 20%.
My question is not about this company. But rather would some of you drivers mind screen shooting loads from and to maine or Ohio well just basically east of wisconsin. The recruiter I spoke with is saying the average load is 2.60 a mile. And the usally use dat and load board 123. But I can use any board I want to pay for.
I'm just looking to crunch numbers.
Thanks in advance to any one who does this. My eventuall 24 month goal is to work up to get my own numbers.-- I'm currently with land star.and run dry box but can do flat.
If you got a min? Landstar to F2F move and loads?

I would say that recruiter is full of it if they're talking LB freight. Why lease on with someone just to run LB freight? Seems like a fast way to fail.
BTW, 7 loads total coming out of Maine on TruckStop, none to Ohio.
Maybe averaging 2.60 on short runs -
Man, if you want to run of DAT and get me 20% I can sign you up under my MC lol.
Does F2F even have any direct freight? -
No I do not think they do. I am currently with l/s. And I am trying to get my buddy to see that the F2F company seems to be a lot of hype.
Thats why I called them myself. To actually hear what they had to say. I'm not bad mouthing them or any other company I just think when it sounds to good to be true. -
That old saying "we're always hiring" is nothing but a gigantic red flag. -
If I were you I'd stay at Landstar until you're ready to step up to your own numbers. You're going to get much better fuel and other discounts from Landstar. It's a situation where the grass ain't really greener so why change especially in current conditions? When you make a change make sure it's a step up and not something sideways or worse.

Spot market van rates are absolutely miserable right now and getting worse every day.
Besides, the the lanes that the op wants to run they will end up quitting after a month.
20% for you, fuel (increasing every day lately) Huge toll costs and all the op’s other expenses there won’t be anything left for food.Phoenix Heavy Haul, Sirscrapntruckalot, Big Road Skateboard and 3 others Thank this. -
Simple solution get your buddy to show you his numbers and rates …. Is he getting a sign on bonus for you???

I leased onto F2F in Chattanooga for about 6 months 2 years ago. I wanted to get my own numbers but need funds for a trailer. F2F has their own customer base. However if you are on the Select division you want get it. The Select division does spot market freight only “load boards.” I will tell you straight up. If you are going to get your own numbers eventually just stay with Landstar. You will not gain anything by going to F2F. Giving 20% of your profit to F2F while running spot market freight is going to break you in this current market. I’d also question them on the 2.50 a mile average especially van freight. I really do recommend you stay put at this time simply because of the freight situation. The interest rates were raised again Thursday. Things are going to get worse before they get better.
