    Hello,

I quit driving back in 2005 and I'm thinking about getting back in. I ordered a free copy of my DAC report and it's clean. Is that all that companies check? I would like to plead the 5th on any crimes I might have done. Do I need to worry about anything that doesn't show on my DAC report?

Where else does this info come from? The DAC report includes a 50 state criminal check.

well your MVR would come from the DMV, and not sure on the Criminal check.

That is my question. Isn't the DAC report created by combing the DMV and criminal records? I got a log book violation that didn't show up on my DAC report either. DAC report show that I had a backing accident, reported by the company I drove for, and that is it. The thing is like 12 pages and list no criminal offenses. I did some dumb stuff and got caught. Driving a truck again is not my first choice but, I need to be making money again.

You would also need to show recent driving experience at most companies. Look into taking a refresher course if that is possible. Each company has different requirements, so talk to recruiters to see what the current hiring requirements are.

Part of the law that says you can get a free credit report from the big 3, also says you can get a free DAC report every year too. My point is, It's illegal to ask anyone to testify against themselves, when filling out a job app. I made some mistakes, paid my fines. My feeling is that most municipalities don't report this stuff to anyone.

if you did something you need to put it on your app, they dont care if you paid for your crime or whatever you did. They WILL find out and they WILL fire you if you lie on a app.

That is my question, why admit to something that doesn't show up? My MVR is clean, my DAC is clean. Where else would the info come from?
