The photo used as a no-no example is pretty dam obvious. All they really needed to say was "don't put the dam thing right in front of your normal driving sight line like a dumb butt."
In reality, if this guidance is followed explicitly, they can't be stuck anywhere on the windshield that can be observed without binoculars. Somebody needs to create a clamp mount that will clamp to the top of the grab handle by the door, however this might interfere with side window defrost air movement if not well designed.
