My daughter's friend is going to school in the near future. Are there any local or regional companies around Indy that will hire a new driver? I should know more about this but I don't.

Was thinking about Shaffer/Crete but I think they require 4 months. Werner also has a terminal there but it's Werner

LTL companies. local p/up and deliveries may.

i’d look into LTL and the dock to driver programs. better schooling, home every day, better money, better benefits and the list goes on.

No, the drivers I’ve talked to seem to like the company, they run a lot of Michigan to Texas. I believe they have dedicated accounts that get you home frequently. Give them a call I’m sure they will tell you what they have openings for.

I have talked to their recruiter and told her I would be moving to Indiana in December from Korea and looking for work as a driver.
She said that they work with Sage driving school certain times of the year but if I go ahead and pay for school they will reimburse.
Craig Ryan has some videos and a little info on Carter but not a whole lot of info out there.
From reviews I have seen most seem pretty happy.
Unless I see or hear of something better I will probably go with Carter. Although it is almost 1 hour drive :( I might find something closer but for a company not as good.
    Will keep searching for sure.
