Who Installs Your Stuff When You Are Assigned A Truck, ie Power Inverter....etc (Stuff That The Company Wouldn't Want Anyone Else To Touch) And Where Do People Go To Get Some Custom Things Installed Like A LCD Flat Screen?.....Thanks.
Usually the company will want there shop to install items like an inverter. Typically they charge a hourly or flat rate.
Ya most companies will want to install your inverter at their shop mostly due to warranties and making sure they are wired correctly. An improperly installed inverter can do some serious damage to the truck and also void any warranty on the truck. You can buy a smaller inverter though and they usually just plug into the cigarette lighter. They usually have plenty enough power to run your tv, computer etc... You will need a larger one though if you are planning on running a microwave or fridge etc... Most tv's and such you can put in yourself. Just check with your company before screwing, nailing or messing with the truck. They tend to frown on stuff that can't be undone. Make sure to wait on purchasing anything until you are issued your truck. They are all set up different inside and have certain dimensions as to what you can fit where. Once you get your truck take a drive over to the nearest Walmart and have at it! Take a measuring tape with you so you can be sure to purchase stuff that will fit right. Try to avoid buying anything at a truck stop. Walmart, Radio Shack, Best buy etc... will be way cheaper to purchase stuff for your truck. You can even check out Ebay and other websites for deals on stuff. You can check out the different truck manufacturer websites and they will usually have picts, videos or virtual tours of the inside of the different trucks to give you a perspective of what you will be dealing with. One thing I highly recommend buying is a 6 x 6 piece of carpeting (usually comes in a roll at Walmart, pretty cheap) and lay it down on the floor in the truck and trim it to fit around the shifter, seats etc... This will keep your truck clean, more comfortable etc... and after a few months when it gets stained or dirty just throw it out and buy another one. Can usually pick one up for under $20. When you are over the road you step in and track into your truck lots of undesirables such as pee-pee, diesel, mud, grease, snow, etc.. and this helps eliminate you getting this in your bed. i would say go slow on the major purchases till you get used to being out here and what you really want i know things i thought i needed i never used and vice versa the laptop and the microwave have been the most used by me next is a vuqube so i can really watch tv just like at home if my oversize recliner would fit life would be grand

Many bunks have the bunk AC and heat, and other equipment under it. You'd have to box around it. Just get you a Volvo 780. The bottom bunk turns into a table and seats.
