Please forgive if i sound dumb:biggrin_2556:, but the truth is, i am when it comes to o/o decision making. The reason I asked is b/c with team driving, the truck hardly ever stops running and i'm wondering would it be worth the $10k to go out and buy an (thermo king) apu or just idle the truck for the few hours while being loaded and unloaded. I just want to know you guys opinion b4 i go out and waist my money. I've been on the road b4 by myself but i didn't have an apu, but i made out pretty good. This time it will be me and my girlfriend and i hope to get some advise from some teams or anyone with team experience b4 i buy my truck.

thank you for your time and responses.....:biggrin_25525:

well an apu has some advantages for when you're at a shipper/reciever that wont allow idleing.....ala WalMart. Or when your in places like commiefornia etc...that have banned idleing. That being said with you guys running team I dont think it would be AS neccessary as it would be for a solo driver.

The man asked for opinions. I'm a team driver. I gave my opinion.

Now explain why you feel I need to write the check.

Cause you think he should pony up 8-10k for somthing that will get very little use

Now could you explain why he should buy one.

    Did you buy yours?

When I was driving team, it would have been nice to have one. We had some REALLY cold layovers (-53* cold) and some hot ones as well that not having to idle the truck would have been nice.

Look. He asked for opinions, I gave mine. You've got a problem with that......and frankly I don't care. Go peddle your attitude to someone else.

That's your opinion and that's what the man asked for. See how that works? You give your opinion and I don't jump your case even if I disagree with it. You might try that sometime instead of jumping me if you don't like mine.
