All things are possible for those who love the Lord. Romans, I think.

What you are describing is something that a lot of people would love to find. The more people who are looking for something the less likely you will be able to find it. It is supply and demand. My local trucking job with ACT paid $16 per hour. There were 3 of us that had that job. ACT has hundreds of drivers but only 3 got the local runs. ACT also had a shuttle contract with a starch producer. That job paid $19 per hour and there were 2 guys that had that run. They moved 4 trailers per hour between two points about 1 mile apart.
So, yes, the jobs are out there but you will have to find them. They do not have to advertise them. Check into yard hustlers jobs at places that have lots of trailers. Manufactures and such. GM has them, that might be a good job.

Try the local beverage/beer companies...or the food service companies close to you...also the fuel /gas haulers,,,then of course the LTL folks...lots of choices out there , you just have to spend sometime AND some shoe leather tracking them down...ftf is the best way to land one of these jobs...Good Luck....

I hauled dirt in a tri axle dump truck for 3.5 years being home every night.. That's an option. Crane companies around here have 2-3 rigs of their own and I would assume those drivers sleep in their own bed very night. I must of hit my head and came OTR lol

Depending on where you live it could be, but that's the hope of 95% of the people getting out of truck driving school, and about 80% of the people who are OTR so chances don't look good, but the odds don't look good for the loto either and still some people win. I wouldn't waste my time getting a cdl if that's the only type of work I was planning on doing. Most people end up OTR and doing something different all together after a couple years. The high dollar jobs usually involve a lot of manual labor, and the training you get from a CDL school is just enough to get you a licence. Employers know this so that's why they want experience.

Handing to keys to a 80,000 and up truck and telling them to do 10 drops and 5 pick ups. Is asking for lawsuits, torn up property, and angry customers who didn't get their product delivered or shipped.

$20/hr ? Home every night ? Fresh out of truck school ? Possible, but highly improbable.

Become a garbage man, you get paid to work out. And your chances of getting injured or killed immediately double! here's to one of the highest workmens comp percentages, ever (8-10%)!
