As a Canadian no. Unless you are doing something super specialized, expect 12K net tops.

You're leased on with some good people then, all our deck guys keep asking me about pikes. When I was contracting at the Mullen companies, lots of guys waiting around going broke. Buddy tried DeckX and Big Freight and lost his truck. So I'm happy to hear you're doing well.

Mullen are a bunch of Thieves they double broker there own freight in house.
I'm at a decent place now. I wasn't before this. Griffin logistics was the place. They have lost a ton of drivers over rather last year. Far cry from there west freight days when guys made money.

You got that right, even as a contractor, 5 months of Mullen (Any Mullen) was more than I could stand. They really rip their O/O's off like you said, the freight changes hands though 3-4 Mullen companies before it makes it to the O/O's who then get some insane low rate. The whole place runs on bribes, favors and friends also.

One of the saddest deck stories I can think of, is Docktor out of Calgary. My god, talk about a falling from Grace. I used to contact them all the time, when I was an Oil and Gas Suit. When I started driving, I wanted to work there so bad, then I met Terry Siemens......yea. Laughed in their face 1 hours into orientation and left lol.

Yes you can. I can get about $3000 for scrap going from Edmonton to BC for SuperB, and $2500 coming back with something random I find. I could do 2 trips a week if everything runs smooth and loads fast, not going over my 70 hours. that's 8 trips a month which is $44,000 a month. Approximately half is profit so $22,000 net. But my truck is an 87 and my trailer is an 06, so things don't always go smoothly equipment wise for me. If you have brand new stuff you could do that.

Glad its working out dude, having your own numbers is definitely a plus if you can find the work. The OP mentioned dispatch, so I figured me meant leased on, which I still says is 99% impossible to do as a leased on Canadian O/O, decks or not.
