Yep, same here. One end wrench, an air-impact with a socket, a 6 lb. sledge, and a 6 pack of iced henekin... done deal in about 30-45 minutes. The rest of the 2 hours is me stalling my g/f while I drink beer and listen to tunes.

I have seen some charge by the hour and others charge by the shock. It should not take long to change shocks.

Yeah, that's the way it goes sometimes, it sucks, I know. Were the old ones pretty trashed? What kind did you put on? I wanted to put on some of those yeller colored ones the gas adjustables, but the parts house didn't have em in stock. :biggrin_25510:

LOL kinda had a mix, there all hydraulic,I called all over on friday in the mpls area cuz i needed new shocks i am running an old old fright shaker 1994, no cab air ride, lucky it has air suspension,I started 3 weeks ago,for this guy who said he runs older stuff, BUT it is TAKEN CARE OF, not, anyway i could not stand no more it beat you pretty bad all day long,to the point i got head aches and the noise oh my.and i had not had a sore back in 3 year till i ran that junk, but guys say hold out MIke he is getting truck this summer. He just bought a company with 238 truck nice KW's so i will stick it out now that i can ride this baby and stay on,the good it is not governed and will go 85 if i want,I haul container, and paid percentage.so anyway i called the local car quest in my town cuz they do a lot of big truck part and they had the 2 steers, and one drive,i called freight shaker and several other part places and no one had them all,i found 3 drive at Boyer ford in mpls they charges 400.09 for 3 drives,I was going to hand the boss a jar of grease, and the car quest was 200.00 for 3,they are all Gabriel. And i tell you what it is about 90% better ride, next i will have to fix what ever is lose un the tranny i think a mount is broken unless it is a mount for the power plant, cuz when iam loaded and it torque the clutch pedal moves a bit along with the stick.
Truckon as far as 25 per hour ,it would be nice but iam out to make money not be nice, thats how i lost my business and am driving truck again,i had a repair business, but i been working on cars an trucks and equipment most my life,so i bill him thou my former business with my fed an state tax id.And some shops around her charge the lowest 65.00 some do 120.00.he said i am
him a big favor so he must been ok with my last bill
