    2018 Peterbilt 579 issue.
I’m getting several fault codes, but J1939 has periodically popped up. Dealer said could be wiring harness. I’m wondering what the cost of these are as Dealer said they’re a pretty penny. I have it at the local Peterbilt dealer now.

There is a good chance that the harness is wearing against something and one of the data link wires is intermittently shorting to ground. I would start by inspecting the harness and making sure its tied up securely. Replacing the harness would be very labour intensive. The labour cost would exceed the cost of the harness.
Could you post what the faults were?

J1939 is the communication protocol- are you using insite? How you’re getting those codes?
