Eventually, it will probably be the RARE trucking company that does not have any driver facing cameras.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

The RARE companies I think will be the small mom & pop's.

Prime still doesn't have them. Said they were more of a liability than an asset.

I agree. If there is an accident, and the driver was inattentive, their camera just made the plaintiff's case. Of course the company probably uses that to hang the driver out to dry. However juries love to hate trucking companies.

Problem is, they still have lane guidance and forward distance nanny b*lls*it that's even worse. I look at it this way, I can prove I have 3 years experience with no DOT chargeables and no incidents on a public highway. Either I'm there to drive the truck, or the computer is. I won't fight a computer for control, nor will I work for a company who tries to make me.

Only the brand new trucks have the lane departure and Bendix. It's on a trial basis they may not even continue getting it. Most of the trucks here don't have that junk. Everyone has a camera though.

As of now j&r all trucks have radar.and Lane guidance, their are a few left that don't but they are being sold and pushed out of the fleet soon. We have Kenworth t680 and international, both LT and prostar, all Cummins engine tho. Kenworths don't have doors.or.cloth to cover cabnits, the maintenance is good, the equipment is nice but the camera is stupid and they nitpick you on paid miles. They run HHG miles so I ran 127 miles today for free, this is why I'm putting in my 2 week soon. I can love the company all I want but ttth is a business relationship and I don't work for free. Anyway I'm moving on to Magnum Ltd no driver facing cameras but they do have outward facing
