I met Connie when she came to our school, she actually seemed pretty straight forward. I know one of the guys in the class before mine went with them and is doing well.

Also, Connie is not longer with them, she retired over a month ago, I believe Peggy is their new recruiter.

Sorry for your experience, it may not all be Kiems fault.. The insurance companies do have a strangled hold on companies.

    Good Luck to you...

you have a point about the insurance but my problem is she told me everything was ready to go and then didnt bother to call me I had to leave numerous messages before she finally answered me. It just really bothered me them having someone put a notice in then backing out and leaving you stranded I did learn a valuable lesson never trust a recruiter no matter how nice they act or how strait forward they r.

Where were you stranded? I thought you found out before you left for orientation, when ou called and was told about them hiring too many new drivers...
Did you go for orientation and then find out and had to find your own way home?

No I was told right before I left for orientation they already had me fill my paperwork out and ran everything when i interviewed and when they called me to offer me the job and i said yes they told me to put in my two weeks at my employer and then we sat a orientation date and they had already had me calling in every day two weeks before just to stay in touch and as it got closer to orientation the harder it was to get a hold of them.

I only know through my own experience that it takes a good company about two weeks to quailify a driver. First you go in and fill out an application packet, the do a preliminary check, maybe run your DMV and such, if all looks good they will offer youa job contingent to your being qualified. That is how it went for me, I was offered a job as long as I got qualified, they told me to kepp checking with them, Not every day, but every few days to a see how the quaification process was going.

I don't know why they would want to call back every day just to say Hi... it sounds to me like they offered you a job, set up an orientation day for a couple weeks out, while the paperwork and all was forwarded to the insrance company and whoever for the qualification process to be done. Unfortunately, the insurance compamy did not give the go ahead for them to have another new driver, if they can't get you on their insurance they can't hire you.
It is unfortunate that you had already put in your two weeks notice and that the company you were driving for wouldn't keep you on. It sounds more like misunderstandings and miscommunication to me.

I have not heard a lot of bad things about Kiem and the couple of guys I know who drive for them are very happy. I am not disreagarding what you experienced, and I am glad that you got hired with Creech I think it is and are doing well.

There are companies out there that are bad and drivers should be and are warned about them, I just don't think we should throw that label on just any company because it didn't go the way we wanted.

So what does this have to do with Arrow? They approved you for orientation. Everyone is approved for orientation. You are not officially hired until you pass the road tests & assigned a truck.

From what I'm gathering is that they started checking your previous employers & DAC report. They weren't satisfied with what they found, so they didn't want you for an employee.
