just starting out in the bakken

    Sorry to hear that my man. I didn't pursue them after speaking with the boss. I just didn't get a positive feeling, and now I see why. Against others advice I'm still pursuing Nuverra PowerFuels, and have an offer to start the 19th. They claim to not be able to hire drivers fast enough. I also have an offer to start with Beaver Creek out of New Town, ND hauling crude. I am hesitant to pull the trigger though. Knowing winter is basically here for that area also makes me not sure what to do. Stay or go is where I'm at, and have one week to decide lol. Good luck to you in your new endeavor.

    I forgot to mention that Lunderby's new insurance co has mandated cameras in all of the trucks. 4 cameras total. Inside on the dash on the pass side facing the driver. Inside on the dash, driver side facing the front. Two on the driver mirror, one down the driver side, so they can watch you grind out and load, and one facing about 15 degrees out to watch the getty box and the tank battery while you load. Cameras are on when the ignition is on and record live streaming 24/7 for 32 days. All cameras are infared (I have seen the night pics) and completely Wi-Fi and cell enabled. If there is no signal, system will record and transmit as soon as you have a signal.

    What a joke.

    The water hauling company I worked for had 1 in the middle of the windshield and that was bad enough.

    Lunderby is no good. 70 -90 a load . The only guys who did good was the guys who didn't have to shift change and kept the truck a full 14 hours and did 5 loads, and "trainers" who kept you as long as they could because they get paid extra per day. As for the water guys when I was there it was worse. The were doing eog loads for around 20 a load and just about of them where quitting or planned on it soon. They are a stepping stone company like Key energy was, just a place to get your certs and a place to stay while you find better and for you new people get some experience to move on.

    Lets not forget the slimy roads after it rains.then in summer the dust clouds...that is good for being a new driver..pay close attention when winter starts to hit.my husband his first year in the bakken got caught in white out blizzard.steer tire slid off into snow drift and was stuck in the truck 2 days before anyone could get to him.in order to keep warm and keep truck running he would have to go out and keep snow from forming on radiator.every half hour for 2 days..it can be brutal.be prepared..
