I was given 60 days to get doubles-triples, tanker and hazmat. I've been working with Reddaway for over a month, but I'm working lots of OT. I just can't find the time to study.

Do any of you fellas know if i could get fired if I don't get these endorsements ? I'm doing a tremendous job with all my deliveries and pick ups. Everybody tells me I'm killing it out there, but I'm worried cuz my permanent position depends on getting them endorsements.

I think if they gave you a deadline you should take it seriously. I took all my endorsement tests at the same time, then had to make a separate stop to get fingerprinted.

Will the company reimburse you for getting the endorsements?

TBonze and Giuseppe Ventolucci Thank this.

That's a good question. I never asked if they would reimburse ! I was anxious to get the job, didn't care too much about paying out of my own packet.

I need to start getting serious about studying

Many companies do reimburse you for getting your endorsements. Check into that.

Yeah, I'll ask tomorrow morning. It's really not abig deal. I was thinking maybe they won't fire me for not getting the endorsements but maybe they just won't give me that $$$$ sign on bonus they offered

Was it made clear when you were hired that endorsements were a requirement for the job? If it was a requirement to be hired and they gave you a period of time to get them then I would get to studying!!! If you were not hired with the expectation of needing to get your endorsements then you might want to talk to someone for clarification.

But yes, they could let you go.
Take it serious... If it's a job requirement then you will be required to get them... And sooner than later. Maybe cut back on the OT to study more and prepare for the tests.

Look for the easiest one and get it first... Then the next one... If you hit their 60 day deadline and can show you have one or two then they might grant you and extension but they would not be required to do so.

    Good Luck

    Pretty risky assumption there.
You may want to verify that... lol

I'd take all of them at once. What's the worst that can happen? You might fail one or two and have to study and come back another time. Shoot for the best that can happen, you pass them all and go get your fingerprints.

That's exactly what I was thinking; doing it systematically.
I signed a document stating the bonus and the job are both secured once I get these endorsements. I'm a little worried, but at the same time I'm finding it hard to find the time to study. I'll get to it this coming weekend.

I love this job and all the co-workers
