Lack of parking for semi-trucks can have fatal consequences

    to me, it don't matter the pick up truck owner was speeding. he could have been drunk, for all i care, the big rig should not have been parked there.

    i hope the family will still get a big payout.

    when driving at night, one might be advised to not overdrive their headlights and pay attention to the freakin' road.

    in a perfect world all drivers find a safe place to park when out of hours.

    But when you see them parked on ramps before the rest are is full or even near full. One asks themselves Is it Darwinism thinning the herd or misguidence from others not in that truck ?

    I hear about all this lack of parking but I’ve never experienced it.

    What I do see on a nightly basis is lazy, low skilled drivers that don’t care where they park and don’t care to learn the craft.

    I saw a CFI in Nebraska parked with the curtains pulled a good 1/8 mile down the shoulder from the end of the ramp. Ain't no freaking way i could sleep like that.
