Yeah, okay, when you throw in the drop/hook pay and the fact it's not a brutally long workday (9 or 10 hours is pretty short), it doesn't sound like a terrible gig if you like driving nights.

They also have breakdown pay 18$ per hour starting the minute u brake down. Wich saves your day if your out waiting for roadside for 4+ hours.

Then don't work on your day off. Or, if you don't like the pay rate, don't apply. We're just about fully staffed now anyway.

I mean it is kind of low pay. You mentioned earlier in this thread how it doesn't require a college degree and therefore the pay is fair, but that's not really relevant to trucking anyway.

What saves this job is the fact that it's not very hard work and you're home daily. If you don't have a family to raise or a lot of expenses it could be a nice gig.

It's well above the median personal income in the US, and nearly twice the median household income in the city where the terminal is. If you want to make more than that in the FL panhandle, you'll probably need a degree or a couple of decades' experience in one of the skilled trades like plumbing.

Florida panhandle? Pay is that low down there? How cheap are living expenses?

I live up in New Hampshire. Median pay is closer to 65k a year, trucking jobs routinely pay that or above. On the other hand, you can't get a decent one bedroom apartment for a penny less than 800 a month. We don't have a state income or sales tax however, so that partially offsets it.

My friend says South Fl. is super pricey, but I guess you're closer to Alabama/Louisiana/Mississippi so it's cheaper up north?

I sure do wish I could have this job. Making above average income.
If only I lived in Florida I could apply.
    But sadly I do not.

Right now we're fully staffed, but we do have a part-time spot at $190/day before tax, filling in for drivers who need a day off here and there. Average about 2-3 days a week, around a 7-10 hour shift most days including breaks. We are also accepting applications for the full-time job described above in case we have someone leave us. Apply at Part-Time Truck Driver | $190/day | Marianna, FL for the part-time job or Refrigerated Home Daily Truck Driver | $950 Weekly Guarantee | Marianna, FL to be considered for future openings on the full-time side.
