    Real simple.....

You have a max of 70 hours for 8 days.....
    You can roll-over the hours....

Say you are on your 7th day...Post Tripped and recapped with 65 hours going into your 8th day....But on that 8th day....The 9th day back...You worked 10 hours....That 9th day is now out of of your recap and you gained 10 back for you total time left on your 70....

You then will have 15 hours.....
    As long as you don't exceed 70 hours in 8 days....You don't need to do a "34"....

Many drivers are under the impression that the "34" is mandatory...Even on a short week....

    It's not...

    Don't PANIC!!!
As the good book of the galactic hitchhiker says.

    You are a student.

Before you ever really get out to drive you will have had log classes that explain things.
Then you will train on a truck with an experienced driver who will explain it even more.

I guess it is akin to rocket science, after all.

And I guess simple 4th grade math is too complex.

Does the machine also do the PT for you?...
How about dealing with the Lizards...Does it negotiate a "Fair Price For Services Rendered"?....
