UPDATE!!!! I got on premier trailers website and looked up the trailer. They transfered the trailer from Maine to Oklahoma but never sent my company the new plate and registration. I printed the registration off but what should I do about the plate? I'm not a new driver but I thought this would the place to ask this question. I'm being dispatched monday for NYC with a 48 ft trailer that has a maine, semi permanent license plate that says it expired in 2013. When I notified the company, they called and asked the trailer rental company, premier trailers, about it. Premier trailers said that was a lifetime plate. Does this look like a lifetime plate?!? Told the company I would not take the trailer until all issues were corrected. If I'm reading this right, the registration is expired and someone is blowing smoke up my companies ###! Title 29-A, §512: Semipermanent and permanent registration plates for trailers and semitrailers
Have you looked at the paper registration certificate that should be in some kind of holder on that trailer /
they issue new plates with a new date for the long term plates. You get a new sticker on the mail with the exp year for the short term (1,2 year) plates.
