I remember when they first reported to prison. They were BFF's before prison. Green immediately joined a Muslim outfit in prison, so he can be protected. Demery was on his own.

I’m with @buddyd157 i didn’t even know MJ’s father was murdered. So I just came out of a Google rabbit hole about it, what a crazy series of events.
I remember the incident. We did a lot of runs along 10 into Florida. This was during a the time when Florida was was having major issues and it’s rest stops were murder stops and Wakenhut Sercurity was hired to be posted at the rest areas. The Jordan Sr case just upped everyone who travelled in the south’s fears at the time. I would hope MJ would fight to keep this guy in.

Every body thought that it was a carjacking attempt-at that time James Jordan was driving a Lexus SC coupe-which were brand new at the time they were introduced(it was a gift Michael had given to James).Demery & Green took a life imprisonment deal to avoid the death penalty.
