Hey guys. Got a weird problem here

Truck will start as normal hot or cold run about 30-45 seconds and die. After it dies it take 10-15 pumps on the primer and it will start back up.

If I start it and bring the rpms up to 800-900 for a minute it stays running

I'm thinking low pressure fuel pump but not sure.

Truck runs normal and makes full power. No codes.

    TIA

Seems like fuel is leaking back/sucking air. Main culprit I’ve found is the line from the Davco to primer pump. Probably need a clear line installed to diagnose.

Approaching 800k I might as well just replace all the fuel lines.

    I appreciate your reply

I guess so. Then something else will happen. Its all over the TTR. If you buy a Truck without warranty, over the milage/years, it really just one problem after another. Take it easy. Handle them as they occur, thats why they have mechanics and shops.

Well i was being generous, maybe 300,000 before the EGR starts self-destructing itself and destroying the gaskets ...

Oh i forgot too the maxxforce is famous for regening all the time, which also eventually fries the head gasket, i remember hearing they even get stuck in regen mode and can't clear the soot....
