Now before I start this Thread I know there is an INFO Thread but this is How things are for me here at JBS and this is Streaming LIVE From Greeley Colorado, as it happens Daily. For those who want to know about the company.

Well Flew in on Monday, Got picked up From Denver Airport in a Stretched Hummer Limo ( nice car and Driver was former OTR Driver Not an employee of JBS)

Tuesday Up Early at the Hotel, Which is a Nice Hotel and there is no Double Bunking, unless you are a team and Choose to.
Breakfast was not the normal cheap continental breakfast. There are a total of 8 of us left now, I will explain why we lost one shortly.

Jeff From JBS arrives ( really nice guy who does the Orientation) Explains the events of the day to us all Take 3 drivers to the Ergonomics testing facility. Do not panic it is nothing bad just a simple ergo test. But if you can not Pick up 90lbs from the Ground squatting and place it waist level three times, think twice as this is a disqualifying task ,( reason we lost one person she could not do it)
You get done with that off to the DOT Physical, then Lunch that they bring in beats any McDonald's. After you finish your Physical it is off to the yard for road test, pretty simple and every person you encounter is not only friendly, they are genuinely interested in you as a Person and Driver. These are good people thus far, always smiling and happy, it has been said you can tell how a company works by the way people act. If this is just a half truth I made a smart decision, the people who work their all seem very happy and welcome new folks, and The equipment is TOP Notch, well maintained, with a Group of service people who actually give a #### unlike many companies out there.
Tomorrow we start at 7:00 and I will let you know how that goes.

Why'd you lose the other two, I've got an app here at home and I'm really interested in JBS. Please keep updated. I don't want to do just regional, like going all over country.

Day two starts off with the HR folks, Which I can say this the entire Human Resources Staff is great people, not only are they Straight Forward, with no BS involved, if they do not know the answer to a question they will go find someone with the answer. We spent the first couple hours, making sure everyone had all their paperwork straight, no time gaps etc, then The Lady( I will let her remain nameless but she is A Lady with no doubt, and very knowledgeable of the company) from HR Comes in goes over Pay Roll, insurance, Time off, Vacations, company policies. She is very through with all the paperwork and explains everything you sign, there should be no questions if you let her talk. For any Smokers like myself, this company goes to Extremes to clean a truck, therefore there is a ONE TIME ( broken into 3 payments) 150.00 charge to clean your truck. And No they do not just wipe it down, they change incab filters, sterilize ( not just clean Sterilize) the truck, so the next driver who might not smoke does not have to suffer from our habit. Which is fine it also covers idiots who ash the floor and do not clean up. Which is another story, Your truck will be inspected when you come into the yard, So if you are a lazy pig not for you, They expect all their drivers to keep clean trucks inside and out, there is no excuse for being lazy. After she is done Lunch time ( they pay for all your lunches while you are here it is catered in from a Local Sandwich shop decent not a steak and taters.
Then It is right into the Safety videos, etc then Jeff begins explaining more about Detention pay, layover pay, Holiday Pay, Safety bonus, longevity Bonus, and all that wonderful stuff.
I can say this I have seen the negative reports, and frankly I feel the people who wrote them are either Lazy or those who will never be satisfied. This Company is not only financially Secure, but most of the Employee's have either driven for JBS, or somewhere else, The Ladies who are there are surely not ignorant to the business at all. They have in place NOW a Solid Team, with the Emphasis on TEAM. They know that the drivers are a integral part of the Equation.
JBS considers you are a driver to be a Part of the Company and they DO listen to the drivers. Keep in mind actions Speak louder than words, you perform have a suggestion they will listen.
And if you think that once you are out on the road that the folks in HR and Recruiting no longer care about you, Wrong Answer they would be more than Happy (if you are in the right and not wrong) to stand in front of you and take the Proverbial Bullet.
From all the things I read on here and other Web Sites about them I can Confirm this that they are all A bunch of BS. This company is nothing like the complaining drivers implied.
They might have been that way before but they are working HARD to make this a Driver Company not a company with Drivers who are un happy. They are continuously working to improve Driver Conditions, Making sure your TRUCK is comfortable for you and not You adjusting to the truck. They are looking at more ways to improve Driver Retention, they go the extra Mile to make a Driver Happy.
I will let you know more tomorrow.

Thanks Doc, keep us posted, you're about to convince me to send in my app. I hope you have a good day and I'll be watching. I've seen there equipment and it all looks great. That is very important to me, couldn't live in a truck that is a piece of junk for weeks at a time.
