I submitted a pre-hire about 2 weeks ago and just received an email saying to give them a called because their very interested. I don't start CDL school till Monday and wont be done till Nov 5th because I am going PT in the evenings. I do know when I talk to them I have to get my previous jobs and addy's line up in proper order. Hate to miss something or accidently leave something out just to get nailed on it later.

Do they look at app's differently if you all ready have your CDL-A and not looking to go through their school from scratch? I have also looked at Warner but weary about putting in a pre-hire because of all the neg reviews but since I live in Omaha where they are based it might be a good option. I have pre-hires at GO, Crete and schinder.

    Any other advice?

    My top 3 1. Prime 2. GO 3. Crete

Probably not, it is a federal law for all drivers to have 10 years of previous employment history with no unexplained gaps. Shouldn't be a problem if you can provide the info to them

It's almost a guaranteed that if you applied to 100 companies you will get the same response that Prime has sent to you...

With how bad companies are hard up for warm bodies the ball is in your court...

Make a checklist of what you want and then go through that list and narrow it down to the company you feel is going to fit your needs and wants...

    Good Luck

I've spent a ton of time looking thru this forum and others researching companies to get a CDL with. Prime was one I closely considered to go to for company sponsored CDL training. I would not have considered them as a place to start my carreer if I'd had my CDL in hand. Of the ones you mentioned, I think Crete is the best choice. I don't know anything about GO, unless it's an acronym for a company that has slipped my mind.

Like Tenn I See Trucker said, the big thing will be your ten year work history. Get that stuff in order and you'll be good to go.

If your talking about these folks: http://www.goexpressomaha.com just browsing thru the site, it looks preferable to Prime (at least at first glance). What appeals to you about Prime?

    Yes, sorry I meant express.

I just heard good things about Prime, their home time and pay. I have talked to a couple of their drivers

Prime is one company that should pay by the hour. In reference to a post a while back about getting paid by the hour instead of mile.

I applied at Prime in 1997, they still had that on file. All I had to do was update it till 2015.
