Sorry, wasn't here for a long time. Few days ago some guy called me from a job offer i responded a month ago. Told me to come in one hour, if still interested. Than we met, he asked me few questions about my CV, my life and in matter of 30 min i had keys in my hand and on the way to Venice. Pointed out several times that i was total beginner on 18-wheeler therefore imagine driving new - ex overturned and very broken -truck, plus no GPS, night shift, new route and no experienced driver nearby to help. Basicaly i learned driving it for 15 min around the parking lot. In Venice i got lost on the motorway but not much, about 20 miles and later the boss made even a fuss of it. And that's not all. A tire exploded on the trailer. Asphalt had no bumps or curbs but i admit the bend was a bit narrow. Ouch, all on the same day. To conclude -> The truck is still in one piece. I remember on single haul my ex employees were sitting in the cabin, teaching and guiding me for 1-2 weeks! This morron doesn't even care to sign a job contract or pay my #### medical certificate. Basically i am bit of a danger, unexperienced driver driving a piece of junk, with no documents that are a must. Besides that i live 40 miles away and driving to work every day. Frankly, i started to think i should report him the police, also because he has at least 2 drivers on udeclared work.
So at what point, exactly, did he hold the gun to your head and make you drive the truck even though you knew you werent prepared?
Suck it up Karletto! First he gives you a chance, then you curb his tire and blow it up, then you get lost 20 miles out thats one way you actually got lost 40 cause you had to come back! and dont even say you didn't have directions because you did dont lie...now you want to report him to the police?...
What exactly do you want "help" with here??? You want someone to tell you to stop driving a "very broken" truck that you do not even know how to operate correctly? Ok.....stop.
Suck it up?? Notice i am working undeclared and with no medical so i guess i was also "holding a gun". Today i will probably just stand firm, demanding to do 'bureaucracy' first. Thankfully second day went smooth but there will be no third day of asking for trouble. The police already stopped me when changing the tire but asked for ID only. Is that a piece of luck or what?!
You must have really been strapped for money to put your own life in danger... NOT TO MENTION OTHERS LIVES
