So I think I need to buy a new dashcam. I tried to save a clip which it didn't and last unsaved footage the one it keeps overwriting says 01/15/2019. I even viewed it and it has none from today. It's light showing it's on and recording is even off. It's a Garmin 45 I think. So what should I get to replace it?

I am using previous generation of this brand Vantrue N1 Pro Mini 1080P Dash Cam with Sony IMX323 Sensor, Full HD https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DVF9LKG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_KhdqCbEFSNKK1
Never had problem, once I installed it 2 years ago, never touched it again. Loop mode work like charm.
G sensors always wake in up by itself when some truck trying to park next or in front of me, even when human walking in front it's starting to record.
In Amazon reviews you can see camera pic of quality

Maybe your SD card is bad?

This is a good unit it supports larger memory card, one should use a 'high endurance' memory card in a dash cam.

Blackvue has been good. Can pull clips via WiFi and save straight into your phone. Each clip has the time stamp, and speed.

everything I do in the settings does nothing. I go and delete any old clips or even select to format the card and nothing has changed

From my experience with different dashcams, the memory cards go bad probably because of the heat. Also, dashcams don’t like to be running 24/7. Restart it every day or twice a day. Rexing is a good dashcam. Get a 1080p. The 4k are way to expensive.

I bought 2 4K cameras during the holidays for less than $300.

They’re technically not dash cams. They’re action cams that can be used as dash cams.

I gave up speed indication and GPS for image stabilization and quality. It also has a remote control, and can take stills while in video mode.

    It’s the Safari 4 4K

When you buy a new card. Make sure it’s a Series 10.
