I am trying to find a company who will put me through school and training to get my cdl. I have already tried with stevens and cr england......i have a speeding ticket which is in the middle of an appeal but the courts here screwed up and put it on my record. Does anyone know of a company who will put me on that is the only thing on my record. I quit my local job in alabama because stevens said i had a job and last min called to deny me!

Star Transport (Morton IL) and Werner both use MTC in Hazelwood MO. ( just outside St. Louis) I went there, two weeks I had a CDL and was on my way. Its not the most thorough school, its more of a "we'll teach what you need to know to get CDL" type school. I know with Werner you have to have good credit. Star, I dont think thats the case.

Try Roehl although I have had my problems with them and are no longer working for them, I did go through their school which I would recommend in a heart beat. The instructors are great and work with you and get you ready for the CDL road test. What they do is you either pay up front or you can get a "loan". I didn't have great credit so my sister co-signed for me. After you driver so many miles the loan is forgiven. Google Roehl Transport for their website and give it a try. Good luck.
