need info on a Cobra 29 ltd classic. rebel edition ? red case confederate flag on the face.

Just picked this radio up. Anyone tell me if it's stock or tuned ? Also mic plugs into the side of the radio versus the front like most 29 ltd's

 

Is it new? I think that's just a faceplate change.

 

Might be a faceplate change and a painted case covers....I think the side mic might be a older model from many days gone by....

That's what i was thinking as well just wondering if it's a special edition and if it has been tuned or not

 

It's not a special edition, and the only way to see if a golden screwdriver made it inside is to have a reputable tech open it up.

 

Those are rare...$5 says you cant put it on a basic barjan power meter and know..

Looks like an old radio with a custom faceplate and a fancy paint job. Nobody can look at the outside and tell you if its stock or modified. You need to take it to a radio tech to find out. The side mic radios were generally considered to be better than the newer front mic models. They are also older and can have parts that have failed and people who have done things on the inside that have been detrimental to the radio. You'll need to have a technician look it over to be able to find out what condition it's in.
