I would rather be a living and employed sissy than a dead or unemployed and possibly jailed moron.

That is the weird thing, for some odd reason when it is pouring rain like that, people in big 4 wheeler trucks fly down the highway and tailgate, even faster than the guy in that video. I cannot believe they are that stupid, since if they have to stop there is no way they would stop on a dime.

Four-wheel-drive is good for everything, don'cha-know. Having a 4WD means never having to slow down...for water, mud, snow, ice...haven't you been paying attention to all those commercials?

Doesn't matter that whenever it starts to snow and ice, the first "cars" in the ditch are SUVs....usually the high-end ones like Escalades, too.

most SUV's aren't 4x4... and most people never engage it if they do have it.. my pickup is AWD (just like 4x4 just a little weaker and smarter). I'm not going to say i can do 85mph on a flooded road, but i dont have any issues standing on the throttal from a dead stop and only getting a 2-4ft skid ( did i mention it has a fully locking rear). so much for tail gating.. well you never really know what the person infront of you has done to their car and vice versa. I knew a guy who HAD an 98 s10 and it got totaled racing an M3. The guy in the M3 figured since it was an s10 he had way more performance and stopping power, but he didn't know the s10 had a Brembo kit on the front, and a Camero axle in the rear..

It's all about knowing your vehicle.. i'm pretty sure most people would say i'm an azhat when i'm driving my pickup truck, but it's so fun, and to get out of a 60mph truck that takes a mile + to get to it, and into something that does 60mph in less then a football field makes it that much better. i'm guilty of doing pretty much all of that b.s except pushing cars in the right hand lane (they're doing the right thing), flashing lights to make people move, and break checking.. if someone's on me then i need to switch lanes.

all of those are reasons i had to get rid of my Yamaha...

My pickup is true 4WD, run most of the time, of course, in 2. Shift on the fly up to 55mph. In 4-Low, it will climb a tree if I need it to. It has a suped up Hemi, Borla exhaust, etc...etc... Big deal.

I'm still not going to be an idiot in bad weather. 4WD and AWD only get you going. Your brakes still have to stop you. The same brakes used during 2WD operation. The only thing having more tires with power to the ground does is move you. It doesn't stop you.

Anyone jumping out of helicopters should remember what those 67U guys say all the time: "Take-offs are optional. Landings are mandatory." Same applies to anything you can move down the road: Going is optional. Stopping is mandatory. You will stop, one way or another.

The truck that swerved over looks like a morrice truck, they are from windsor Ontario canada.

And that vehicle you are all calling an SUV, looks more like a chevy astro/GMC safari van to me.

Who called it an SUV? And who cares anyway? The driver is still the same aggressive pr*** regardless of what shape the car is or whose trademark is on it.

I read something somewhere which said any driver going faster than I am is reckless, and any driver going slower than I am is an idiot. Responses to this thread are basically saying that.

It is only a matter of opinion whether or not the driver was going too fast for conditions. And I would not neccesarily describe the driving as aggressive. What I think is not arguable though,is that the driver in the right lane ,in the couple of minutes of the video clip, displayed riskier behaviour.
He might have been going slow, but still needed to have signalled his intention to change lanes , and should have checked his mirrors before attempting to change lanes.
And even if he had signalled his lane change, I am one of those who believe that signalling alone does not entitle one to come over. One still has to make sure it is safe to do so.
And don't forget, it was the driver in the slower moving truck who apparently used profanity first.
Driver in the slower moving truck ,sounding like an older person, displayed dangerous driving and was profane and disrespectful.
I mentioned his sounding like an older person because if he had a distinctly younger sounding voice,we would not have heard the end of it. We would have been reading about the 'new breed' and the 'young generation' and all the bad characteristics about them.
