I have a job offer to work for schneider, out of janesville.wi ...for their lows account,825 a week salary.alternating weeks off 1st week sun..th 2nd week mon..fri...was wonder if anyone has any info on this account, good or bad ..thank you ....Also have a job offer for ptglogistics out of rochelle,illinois..flatbed,home weekends.heard they only fuel at pilots.can't really dig up anything resent on this company, what i have found dosen't look good for ny terrimal, was hopping someone would have some recent info i could use.thank you all.
Does anyone have any info on either one of these companies? Any advice for a newbie would be greatly appreciated.
I'm have no knowledge about ptglogistics or being on a lowes contractor account. But if the work location is good for you and you have good people skills and don't mind dealing with construction sites, daily, then I'd say try the Schneider/Lowes gig and see how it goes. But if you're itching to "get out" and see more of the country or your region, than that may not be a good fit for you. But I am a little concerned about the "salary" situation. If you're on the clock 50 hours a week, that's not so bad, but if they work you sun up to sun down, 5 days/wk for $825 ... that's not such a good deal IMO. And so long as they don't keep you around sweeping floors and stocking shelves to get their 70 hours out of you. As a new driver in Obamaville you need to take what you can get that suits your personal/family needs so long as it pays a wage you can live with for a while.
Thanks for the input stexan.the lows account is with sni,and the construction is ptg. I agree construction sites can be hard to deal with ,would be hauling steel or metal coils.Heard alot of horror stories about sni orientation.Just not sure van sni...flatbed ptg...
