Need some help.

Hello guys here's my story. A year ago I was going to a private CDL School, I attended orientation, got my CDL Permit and even took a DOT Drug Test and Physical for it. Anyways I attended the school for 2 days (It was a 3 week school) and I had a horrible family emergency that I lost a very close loved one and had to quit on the second day. I explained it to them and they told me to just pay for my physical and drug test which I did and we would be square. Anyways I searched for jobs a couple months after that and accepted a job driving a Sprinter delivering products to stores (like a merchandiser). Anyways I was laid off from that job and couldn't draw unemployment for it because I hadn't worked there long enough, anyways that job gave me a taste of the road and I loved it. I think I really need to try truck driving because I loved the road. Anyways, I was wondering if my DAC would be messed up or not where I quit that school? I am going to try and go to a company training program because I've saved up about 1000 dollars and that should tide me over until I get my license and get paid. I also let my CDL Permit expire but my DOT Medical Card is good until Nov 2016. I'm sure you all have heard a million and one questions and situations like this but I wanna get on the road, I can't see myseld doing another job that I am not driving. I am going to apply to Celadon today for their Driver Training Program and maybe Prime, I also think I may have sleep apnea because I'm really big 6'6 385 so will that be an issue at all and if it is what will they do. I thought about Celadon but I heard they make you wait forever for a trainer. Anyone got any encouragement or tips for me? I really appreciate all your help. Also, I am 29 is this a good age to get into trucking?

Unless Celadon has a school they won't hire you with a cdl permit.You'll have start all over.Far as your med card,you'll have to take another physical.Companies prefer you use there doctor and have it done during orientation.What happened with your first school won't affect your chances with a company.Since you was there only 2 days I wouldn't even put it down because you'll have to go thru school again anyway then out with a trainer after you get your cdl.

Most employers will send you to their preferred clinic to do the physical again, as protocol. You will probably start from zero again. Be confident and still try it!

 

Yea I think I will, what would happen if I went to Prime and failed the sleep apnea test? Because I'm 90 percent sure I have it.

 

Sleep Apnea is a myth just like 80HD extra $$$$$ for the doc
