I am a driver and a friend owns a 2006 Volvo 780 ready to lease on with owner operator to run under there authority ASAP need to get truck rolling but all the companies aren't offering #### for freight. I would like to team with a owner operator that will let me lease the truck on with them and move decent paying freight. So please if anyone out there has any suggestions of a good company to lease on to or owner operator that has his authority and I can lease and run under there authority. I just need to get it rolling ASAP cause I don't want to miss out on buying the tractor he is wanting to sale it toe ounce he recovers the expense he has invested in it. So please fellow truckers help with all your ideas of offer to team up and run another truck under your authority.
thanks,
Robert

Your post is not clear as to what you want to do. It sounds like you want to buy your friends truck and lease it to a carrier, but it also sounds like you want to run team with someone.
If you lease to most smaller carriers you will need to either buy or rent a trailer since most won't have extra trailers for you to use. I don't know what carriers that you have been talking with, but some pay better than others. What type of freight do you want to haul? How is your mvr and csa? -
My mvr I have one ticket that goes away in Jan of 2013 and CSA is clean I have been left in charge of the whole deal he wants me to handle the leasing the truck on with someone he said its up to me who and where I run so if you know of anyone that I can lease on with let me know we are looking for it to happen ASAP.

If the truck is in your friend's name, he will be the on who will need to sign the lease unless you can show where you are buying or leasing the truck from him. You still didn't state whether you and/or your friend have your own trailer or what type of freight you want to haul. Since you mention running team, you would likely be looking at pulling a van or reefer?
-
We have a 48 ft reefer and no teams I will be driving solo and I make all decisions he will sign what I ask him to lease wise
-
I don't care what I pull but just not hauling cheap freight
-
Might help to let everyone know where you are located

I am located in south Mississippi but truck is in Ok and I am headed up this weekend to pick It up

Kinda seems like you are rushing things and are now panicking. This should have all been thought out before you go get the truck. Take it one step at a time. I am still not sure as to what exactly you are trying to accomplish. Who owns the truck? Are you buying it? Who owns what, who will be driving it, where do you want to run, everything needs to be included.

It's simple my mechanic owns the truck for now like I been saying but he has left me 100% in charge with finding a place to lease it on with some one. He told me to get everything set up with where I want the truck leased to and I will be operating the truck and really don't care where I go or what I do with the truck it my deal he will sign the lease papers and the company I find to lease it on to will send the weekly settlement checks or direct deposit to his account and he will pay me weekly. But all trucking business will be done through me and company I lease it on with besides settlement checks they to to him. I don't care where I run I just want to be home one day every month. I would like to stay out of California unless I have a direct reload cause I don't want to be empty for 3-4 days so if I can avoid California I will and the Omer my mechanic assumes to stay out of Cali too. so that's the deal
