Has anyone else noticed this? Looking at buying a couple new trucks and this stood out right away on the 21 models.... Wondering why they changed and what the two filters are now if one is a bypass and one is full flow..? The three filter design Volvo has with the bypass has always been superior to other MFGs ... I hope they didn't get cheap by going to two filters and not use bypass... .
I would check well, i have seen multiple time that there is no bypass filter installed instead there is a cap same as on fuel filter housing when having a glass seperator on chassis in that case just take off cap and put bypass filter and all good. and yes they did cheap out with that new engine a little bit but they call it saving weight for better fuel economy just bs by my standarts.
Hi has anyone confirmed this cap? I'd promptly be removing and installing a bypass filter if this is possible I'm weighing getting the canister filter option on the new truck but will keep spin on filters if bypass can be easily added by removing this "Cap"
