Picking up a new contract jockeying and loading trailers. The hours we have to cover are M-F 6pm - 6am. And Sat- Sun 6 am- 6pm.
this will cover 84 hrs per week, and planning on using 3 drivers. Wouldn't mind using 2 but if someone got sick we would be screwed. Does anyone have any ideas on a good schedule? Trying to keep it simple and spread out the hours. Any help would be appreciated.

Without knowing more detail 3 drivers no less. Each run two 12s and alternate every 3rd. Thats a hard run on one truck so factoring upkeep time is really pushing it. I've had alot of experience with this. pm if you like. What are you hauling?

We will have 2 trucks/. 1 yard dog and a day cab for backup. We will be jockeying and preloading beams. Just having to throw 2 straps over each load.
thanks that was kinda what I had figured. I will pm you.

If you can swing it, get 2 yard dogs. Using a daycab for jockeying is a monumental time waster, especially if it doesn't have a lifting 5th wheel. Also after a long day it's a fall hazard since you have to get down on the ground and walk back to unhook air lines rather than reaching out the back door.

If riding on public roads isn't in the menu there really is no use case at all for a daycab.
