Why would you even try any of that with a driver facing cam.

Sweet! I know if I owned a fleet of $175,000 trucks I wouldn't want them smelling like an ashtray.

Besides, to my understanding its actually against OH&S regulations to smoke in a company vehicle here in Alberta. Its a health hazard for anyone who has to go inside that ashtray.

Alberta workers butt out; in truck cabs too | Today's Trucking

Darn rights! One of the reasons I stopped working on trucks and went to heavy equipment was the cigarette smell in the cabs of 75% of the trucks I had to work on.

I smoke, but I dont understand how a truck can smell like smoke. Mine doesn't at all.....do drivers not let down the window? Better yet do they not clean up?

I dunno. I had to do a clutch on a truck one day and the inside of the cab reeked of smoke so bad it gave me a headache just pulling the shift tower. If I had to spend an extended amount of time in the cab of that POS I'd have told them to shove that job up their ###.

Its way worse when you have to slipseat, and there's not nearly enough time to clean the truck before you have to run it for 8+ hours with the windows down.
Every time I get a new truck now, I insist that it be detailed, and I'll keep it clean after that.

Roll down the window in North Dakota in February, yeah right.

Btw, you don't think your truck smells like smoke. But ask a nonsmoker.
