    Good afternoon:
I just wonder why are companies Refusing my applications, because I only have local Experience and nothing over the road. My opinion The driver gets more experience driving local than over the road somebody can give me better opinion because I don't understand thank.

Not trying to ruin your parade, but this topic is discuss here in TTR quite frequent. Many try and have e fail because they don't do there research. They figure just buying a piece of equipment and there in business. You have just experienced first hand could happen if your not prepared.
On a positive note, keep looking, something eventually should come in. Your best bet is to get your own authority and you pick and choose what you want and not want to haul.

Unfortunately local experience doesn't count as over the road experience ( you're still driving a truck throughout highways in different conditions but hey im not the insurance underwriter) go with some small guys they really don't care as long as you can drive a truck you're good.

Check Craigslist. Every now and then, there are companies looking for o/o and some of them don't look so much into that as long as your record is clean, but I agree with the others. Get your own authority and do your own thing!

I've actually found a few good positions on there in the past. Now I'm not gonna say EVERYONE is honest on there but there are still some honest ones. Just have to do your homework.

I agree with much of this. A buddy drives local nyc... long island...ct ..the burrows etc. And they said he wasn't hirable otr because of lack of otr experience.
Driving down the interstate all day is much easier than what he does.

I found my current OTR job on Craigslist.... Smaller company, and I was fairly new to the area. It's working out well, so far.
