Been skimming around now for some time now and thought i would go ahead and join up . Not new to the trucking world at all my father was driving before i was ever thought of. I SAID I WOULD NEVER DRIVE A TRUCK FOR A LIVING. guess ill eat those words . I now drive from Northern Mo. loaded to NYC and dead head back in a 28ft straight truck. I work 4 days me and the wife then take 10 days off. then do it again been at it for 5 years now. My first truck i had ever drove was a 1963 emeryville IH 2 stick since then i think ive got to drive every piece of junk they have ever made and have never been in a new truck till i got this job. we have 3mill miles between me and the wife well that just about sums it up for me. ill go lurk around more i don't post much. if I just do some digging I can find most of my answers around here seems to be a pretty good forum for lots of info.
