Next Truck

    The truck runs, the driver makes a living. I think the truck is always a crapshoot, no matter what, Cajun. I have a Columbia, '08, DD60 14L, and it's a good working truck. I'm thinking about the same things you mention. I like what Maggard says, and I'll probably look for an inframe (if I can find a good shop) or a crate motor, not much more $.

    so far def trucks have proved to be alot better than the dpf only trucks. still not as great as pre egr, but alot better than the 08-10 trucks . the cost of def fluid doesnt really figure into the cost to operate the truck. 40 bucks a week in mine.

    cajun,,, if you don't run cali , you might look at getting a glider form frieghtliner , there is a dealership in IA, harrison i think ... does columbias and coranados... Detroit with 98 epa emissions, good mileage, 10,13, or 18 spds... new truck with factory warranty, engine and trans for around 125,000.. just an idea... check truckpaper.com.... gilder kits in the search field
