Volvo vnl670 yesterday i turned the truck off it wouldn’t turn back on. I had to turn the key on and off a bunch of times to finally get it to start. When it doesn’t start the gauges will not do the cycle sweep (key on gauges sweep come back down then turn key over) don’t know if that’s the issue. I cleaned battery terminals to no help. When i turn key it doesn’t click or try to turn over. Will a bad ignition switch cause this?

Could be a dead spot in the starter

Sounds like bad battery disconnect switch that is mounted above your batteries. Test and by pass it or replace if you like.

The starter works when using a jump wire. Just replaced ignition switch not the entire thing just the part that tumblr goes in. Still no change. So starter good batteries good new ignition switch. But still won’t turn over with key.
