I'm still a pre-student, I start August 26th, 2013. My question is what is a pre-hire? Also, what good companies are there to work for on the East Coast. Does this mean I have job offers after I graduate? Is 1.09 a mile good? With downtime pay, sorry to be annoying. .Just a big switch from being a paralegal.

Pre-hire simply means that you are offered a job IF you pass all of that company's requirements.

1.09 a mile? As a company driver? Sounds more like a lease purchase...stay AWAY from that robbery.

    $

    $1.09/mile means 125 miles/day in a 16 hour shift.

I'm wonder why you are going into trucking?

Did being a paralegal not a good choice?

It was from an private oil company ...I was contacted by the owner. Out of respect for the companies involved I won't say on Internet. You never know who reads these pages.Plus it disrespectful to talk about specific details such as names. If the offer is legit as on paper mailed to me on the per miles or it changes after 2nd interview I'll keep you posted. Thank you for the input.

I was wondering, why did you post your question here.. Are you going to report a bad trucking company?

a pre hire ? are you seeking help in paying tuition ?
