    (1) I love how it was to avoid a "tractor trailer"
    (2) I seriously doubt this was their only "safe option"

    What the article didn't say, was if they really needed to jump, or did they just overreact and do something stupid. Since a 40 or 50 foot fall could very likely be fatal, I'd certainly want to make sure it was the best option before I took that route.

    Well, it didn't hit the jeep that was sitting there in the left lane, so no, they didn't need to freak out and hurl themselves off a bridge. Those are the kind of people I hope don't stop to help.

    If the tractor trailer driver was not injured or involved in smashing the Jeep, they jumped for no reason, and they kinda gloss over that about 10 folks stopped, and not all felt the need to jump, and lived!

    of course they gloss over that. if they didn't it'd make it look like these future medical care professionals are complete idiots that you shouldn't let near you with a tongue depressor much less a needle or scalpel.
