I have applied at Prime and on my application, I answered the question about suspensions as yes, and explained. I was late on child support and received an administrative suspension, which I dealt with right away. I offered to provide documentation detailing the suspension but the recruiter said it was a deal breaker! I haven't have an accident in 15 years or more...and no violations of any kind in forever.

Can anyone tell me if I am going to be out of luck at all schools/employers?

    Thanks for your help.

I had 2 suspensions for failure to pay fine one fairly recent and another which was several years old. I signed on to a private school and have a pre-hire waiting... I'd keep trying.

Try FFE, I hear they are liberal on some license issues, CRST would probably not hire you, they are tough here on license issues involving suspensions, atleast that's the way it's been, could have changed

I don't see how being late on child support would affect the driving of a truck. It's not like you committed a crime.

I used to work with a guy in MA several years ago who's license was suspended for child support issues. It was not a CDL, so I'm not sure how it effects it. Might be they don't suspend if it's how you make a living etc... Just what I got

I do know it can keep you from going to Canada. Maybe they like having guys who can run Canada.

Being late on child support is not a crime but apparently this guy didn't pay at all until it took being fined to finally write a check.

Me either unless to attend school you have to have an adequate credit score to pay off the school incase you don't last thruout the contract.
