After upgrading the RAM on my computer, and still having problems with Internet Explorer and Firefox both still freezing up as I am browsing posts or making posts, I decided to take the recommendation of a couple of techies at Best Buy and check out the Opera web browser. I'm digging this browser already. No freeze ups, loads pages fast, working good. Now I just have to go into their help menu and see how to import all of my bookmarks from the other ones! If you're having problems with your other web browsers, check this one out and see if it works better.
Opera is nice.. I use it time to time... Far as Explorer and FirFox freezing you have other issue's with your computer... Sounds like you may have registry problems.. 1.What spy ware programs are you using? what anti virus are you using? 2. how often do you clean your computer for spyware/viruses ext..? 3.how often do you clean junk files out? 4. when is the last time you defraged? 5. when is the last time you ran check disk? (scan disk) Another mistake people tend to do is they install new program on a dirty system.. This almost always will cause problem.. Example.. You are doing a Microsoft update.. You should clean your computer using spyware programs, anti virus, and junk file cleaner... Reboot, defrag the computer then reboot again... Then install the updates.... When updating from explorer 6 to 7 (and soon they will have 8 released) You need to do all above and you need to delete all toolbars you have added.. this is very important to do.. it will cause issue more then likely if you don't...
I've got a registry cleaner, spyware software, and one of the best anti-virus programs out there. The really cool thing about my anti-virus is it's free through my ISP. Nothing gets past that sucker! I clear out the junk on a regular basis, run disk clean up, defrag (even when the system says I don't need to), etc. I dump the temp files almost daily and do everything else weekly. IE and Firefox only really seem to have issues when I spend a lot of time on this site! I don't have too many problems with them on other sites.
Okay sounds like your good to go then.... Some browser just don't like certain sites... I know one time on a computer tech board I am a member of a advertising banner caused problem with browsers (something in the coding conflicting with the browsers) Took them awhile to figure out what it was... Okay, you know what they say... Always start with the easy then work your way up... Have you tried Googles Chrome? I have been using it for awhile now and it has been really dent..
Haven't tried the new Google one yet. I have three now, and as long as they all work, I'll stick with that. I'm not doing much web design anymore, so I don't need a bunch.
