Are all of these engines really that bad or did I just get the runt of the litter? This Pete 378 is by far THE most gutless truck I've ever ran. It's up there with the autoshift International I had at LinQ Transportation which was my main reason for quitting.

Nope their all that bad. Though if its yours have them pull it out of fuel saver to severe duty mode. It helps a lot. If you got an auto though your likely boned a lot of them come speced out for lower 1450 torque so the engines get nutered to avoid gernadeing the engines.

A good friend of mine had one in a T660. It sucked, so he had it deleted and reprogrammed. Ran great for about a year or so and then the block cracked. I'm told the paccar blocks are known for cracking. He finally pulled it out and dropped a C15 in its place. Alot of work but he's happy now.

The early ones sucked. The fuel system and EGR was updated in 2016. I’ve never driven the 455 one, but I’m on my second 510/1850 one and I’ve been perfectly happy with them.

Well, I complained about it and they took me out of the square nosed truck with the Paccar and put me in a curb sniffer with a Cummins X15. Million times better.

It's DPF deleted with an upgraded turbo and still a turd. Anyhow, I went and told them it's unacceptable so they put me in a different truck.

2012 MX13 with 900,000. Turned up a little and deleted and I love it . New to us a few years ago but knew guy who had it prior and he had very few problems.

A mechanic of my buddy’s actually suggested the newer ones when my buddy was looking for trucks.
