PCM 740 2010 map update question

I have a PCM 740 and want to update the mapping card to the newest 2010 maps. Has anyone here done so with their 740?. What was improved in this new update compared to the 2009 map card?. THANKS!

 

I guess no one knows the answer! I didnt know if it was worth getting the 2010 update. I just thought they might have improved the software for the 740.

 

I replied to your PM on this question, but for the sake of the rest... I have stated this here under several threads where it was asked previously. The rule of thumb for the PCM 430/440/540/ or 740 2010 map update is this: If the unit hardware is still in good shape and your are generally happy with it, then yes, it is worth the upgrade $49.95.

If you are looking to get their new models, they will give you $100 back on your old one, whether it is working or not, which gets map updates via internet.

If you are not sure which maps yours has, then tap menu / settings / next page 2 times / About CoPilot. If you have the newest maps for those models it will say: Data: ALK.2010.01.4.8.1.4.7
