I am looking at being an owner operator. Frankly I'm tired of sharing a truck with dirty people and driving junk. I want to get a good truck and fix it up and keep it clean majorly. Right now I have a dedicated run that puts me home 6 nights out of the week. I would like to keep this schedule. I am based out of Roanoke VA and would like to stay there. Roanoke is a big logging area, is logging good business to start in?

Put 50 grand in the bank and when you are ready to loose it in a very short time, perhaps 2 months, try it. There are lots of threads on here for the information you are seeking.

Logging is tough on trucks...if you spec the truck wrong, it'll clean you out in a hurry though.:biggrin_25521:
